Tom Walker
Tom’s particular areas of expertise include business reorganisation and covenants in restraint of trade. He acts for a range of clients from individual directors and executives to multi-national companies. He regularly advises both boards and individuals on team moves and has a depth of experience in sex discrimination claims. Recently he sat as an independent chairman for internal regulatory hearings at NHS Trusts.
When advising he focuses on practical solutions to problems rather than dry legal summaries.
Tom often carries out his own advocacy and is listed in ‘Chambers and Partners’ as being an “incredibly personable, business-focused and savvy employment lawyer” .
Tom graduated from Leeds University in 1990 with a degree in English Literature. He trained at Frere Cholmeley and became a Partner at Brachers in 1999. In 2005 he moved to set up an employment team at Colemans-ctts before joining Manches in November 2008 to head the London employment team.
Tom has three young children and knows every playground between Richmond and Westminster. When he finds the time, he enjoys sailing, hill walking or just relaxing in front of a film with a good bottle of wine.
