Louise Spitz studied law as a mature student at University College, London, and qualified as a solicitor in 1989. She joined Manches in 1994 and became a partner in 1997.
Louise has particular expertise in complex and high value financial cases, including those with an international element. She also advises in disputes concerning children and is noted by Legal 500 as "good for complicated child disputes". Louise also has a wealth of experience advising on cohabitation cases, financial provision for non-marital children and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
Louise has written extensively for various legal journals and books. She is one of the authors of "Family Finance in Practice" and has contributed to Tolley's “Finance and Law for the Older Client". She is a contributing author to "The New Penguin Guide to the Law" and a consultant editor to the "Family Law Journal".
Louise serves as a Deputy District Judge at the Principal Registry. She is an elected Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of Resolution.
