Manches Thames Valley enhances publishing and digital media capability- 19/01/2012

Manches Thames Valley is delighted to announce the consolidation of its digital publishing capability with the addition of Dr Sam De Silva and Simon Sellars to the team, which comprises partner Chris Shelley and senior associates James Howarthand Gavin Stenton.

Ranked as leaders in their field in the South East by legal directory Legal 500 for its work in the media and entertainment sector, the team advises on:

  • the purchase and sale of titles, publishing lists and other assets
  • contracts relating to every aspect of the publishing process
  • the acquisition and licensing of digital rights
  • contractual, defamation and privacy disputes involving publishers and media organisations
  • advice on copyright, database rights and trade marks in relation to digital media and publishing

Dr Sam De Silva heads our IT practice and focuses on technology-related aspects of digital media.  Simon Sellars specialises in copyright and database rights as they relate to digital content.  James Howarth comes from a traditional publishing background and specialises in copyright and trade mark disputes, defamation, privacy and domain name disputes.
